As promised, my journey of keeping a collection of my most treasured thoughts and insight I have gained throughout my graduate studies and clinical work begins. Although I keep a personal journal and write often, the opportunity to write extensively have been few and far between. I have been telling myself for nearly six months that I will start writing, but come to a halt as it seems I become paralyzed by the fear of being vulnerable, judged, critiqued, and failing. It has become more apparent that the process of therapy is isomorphic in nature. Therefore, I must model and practice what I teach my clients and let myself, too, be seen. There is no room for growth without initiation or error. My sharing will be an accumulation of research and learning that inspires my professional self and clinical work. My hope for the reader is that this may be a fraction of a rich and raw growing experience for you. There is authentic beauty in the process of change. May we learn and grow together, and may we embrace it. Enjoy!
